Home Port; Skansen, Trondheim
2004

To be noted: She was laid down in spring 1919 in accordance with  Johan Ankers 8mS drawing of 27-9-1918. She remained unfinished onshore 1919 due to the uncertainty in the International R-rule before the 1920 Olympics. In spring 1920 she during construction  on shore was modified to gain advantage of the 2nd International R-rule of Oct 1919, this without altering her keel configuration. She was launched and commissioned to the 2nd International R-rule, given racing sail no
8 N11.
Measurement Certificate dated June 2nd 1920.

In 1921 the 2nd R-rule converted S-Eights went back and raced in their own S-Class. "Verano II" was not allowed to participate as she was modified from the Scandinavian (S-rule) to International (R-rule). As she was laid down in 1919 before the 2nd International R-rule came about, she in KNS register is listed as International "R"under the R-Class of 1907 . Her name at the time was "Fandango II".

In KNS regatta 1925 "Fandango" races in the 8mR(old) class competing with 8mR(old) yachts "Boheme" (H6), "Star", "Tuttan" and "Quinta" (H5),

She was then acquired by Einar Pedersen whom named her "Idyll III" and made her a winner in the 8mR (old) class for yachts laid down before 1920 (Oct.1919)
http://snarken.page.tl/Einar-Pedersen.htm
Later she obtained the sail racing no. sH 38. The classification sH was likely given as the S-Class and 1st R-rule Class were combined, she could just as well have been given racing sail no H38. She has carried sail no 38 for most of her life - go to "Snarken owners and skippers" Mr. Knut Aspelin.
